Kristen Staby Rembold

Kristen Staby Rembold’s newest book of poetry is forthcoming from Future Cycle Press in January, 2023. Music Lesson, poetry, also published by Future Cycle Press, came out in 2019.  In addition, she has published a novel, Felicity, winner of the Mid-List Press First Novel Series Award, and two poetry chapbooks, Leaf and Tendril, published by Finishing Line Press, and Coming into This World, published by Hot Pepper Press.

Her writing has appeared in many literary journals and periodicals, and her poems have been finalists in the 2015 Erskine J. Poetry Contest at Smartish Pace, in the 2010 Morton Mars Prize at the Southwest Review, and in the 2010 Ron Rash Awards at the Broad River Review.  She has twice been a fellow at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts.  She holds degrees from Northwestern University and the Warren Wilson MFA Program for Writers.

Rembold has taught poetry and fiction writing privately and at WriterHouse in Charlottesville, Virginia, and has served as co-editor and managing editor and in other editorial capacities at The University of Virginia’s IRIS: A Journal About Women and other publications.
